Iorras Aontaithe 7

Ballinrobe Town 0

IORRAS AONTAITHE got back to winning ways on Sunday afternoon as Eric Reilly’s charges recorded a comfortable victory, against Ballinrobe Town.

The opening 10 minutes of the first half saw the Belmullet outfit plunder two goals, courtesy of Jonathan Donohue and Brendan Nallen.

Seamus O’Malley added a third goal for Eric Reilly’s charges on 30 minutes, much to the dismay of the away bench.

Ballinrobe struggled to create any clear-cut chances of note during the second period and on 55 minutes it was effectively game over for the Red and White, as Michael Togher added a fourth goal for the North Mayo men.

Things went from bad to worse for Ballinrobe as following a fifth goal for Iorras from Brendan Nallen, the South Mayo men conceded an own goal, as their custodian John Fitzpatrick, unfortunately deflected the ball to the back of his own net.

Donohue glossed the full-time score-line even further for his team-mates, as he netted his second and his team-mates seventh goal of the afternoon, to bring the curtain down on what was an impressive performance from the Belmullet outfit.
